This website is designed, built, hosted and operated by BlackBeard Web Design, El Paso, Texas, on behalf of Ocotillo Dental. This website is not your dental record
Two separate things exist and it matters which is which. Your clinical record is held by Ocotillo Dental under HIPAA and Texas dental records law, in practice-management software that this website has no connection to and BlackBeard Web Design has no access to. Your appointment request is what you type into the form here.
Do not send clinical detail through this website. It is not a patient portal and it is not the right channel for anything sensitive about your health. Call the practice instead.
What this site collects
Your appointment request
Name, phone, optional email, which treatment area you selected, which insurance you selected, and your message. The insurance and treatment selections are health-related information and are used only to prepare for your appointment and run your benefits check — never to target advertising, never shared with an insurer for any purpose other than your own claim, never sold.
Anonymous page counts
Aggregate page views and button clicks. No cookie, no cross-site identifier, no advertising pixel. This is worth stating plainly: dental and medical websites very commonly run advertising trackers that report to a social network that you looked at a page about, say, root canals. This one cannot, because the Content Security Policy would block the request.
What is stored on your device
Nothing. No cookies at all, hence no banner.

Your insurer receives a claim only for treatment you actually have, containing only what a claim requires.
How long
Appointment requests that do not become patients are deleted after 12 months. Clinical records follow Texas retention law — a minimum of five years from last treatment, and for minors until age 21 — and are held by the practice, not by this website. Server logs, 30 days.
Your choices
- Website enquiries: privacy@blackbeardwebdesign.com to see or delete, within 30 days.
- Clinical records: request directly from the practice at front@ocotillodental.com under HIPAA. You have the right to a copy.
- Texas residents have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and appeal under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
Security
HTTPS only with HSTS. A strict Content Security Policy allows scripts, styles, fonts and images from this domain only, which is what makes the “no advertising trackers” claim above enforceable rather than a promise. The page cannot be framed, leaks no referrer, and denies camera, microphone, geolocation and payment APIs. Forms post same-origin.
Children
We treat children, and a parent or guardian should be the one using this form. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13 through this website.
Changes
The date at the top moves when this page does. Material changes stay summarised here for 60 days.
